Use this to ...

  • Delete curves from a profile.
  • Delete geometric constraints from a curve.
  • Delete dimension from a profile.
  • Play the video to learn how to delete objects by first selecting them, and then using the DELETE key to remove them. Do not adjust your volume; there is no sound associated with this video.

Key Points

  • This uses a combination of the Select Tool and the DELETE key.
  • Use this procedure to delete unwanted profile curves and create new ones. Remember to re-constrain your profile.

Process: Deleting a Single Object in a Profile

1. clip_image004[1] Click Select Tool from the Draw toolbar.

2. Pick the object in the graphics window. The object can be a curve, a constraint symbol, or a dimension.

3. Press DELETE on the keyboard.

Process: Deleting Multiple Objects Using a Window.

1. clip_image004[2] Click Select Tool from the Draw toolbar.

2. In the Graphics Window, move the cursor to the location where the window will begin.

3. Hold the left mouse button and move the cursor in a diagonal motion across the objects to delete. A rectangle displays as the cursor is moved.

4. Release the left mouse button. All objects within the rectangle highlight.

5. Press DELETE on the keyboard.

Tips

  • You can select ALT + A on the keyboard to select all objects in the Graphics Window.
