The National Weather Service issued a extreme weather outlook for the Chicago metro area, as well northeast Los angeles & northwest Los angeles, & said the dangers would include the likelihood of isolated tornadoes.

Forecasters at the NWS said thunderstorms expected to sweep through the area this afternoon & evening could produce damaging winds in excess of 60 miles per hour, quarter-sized hail, drenching rains & frequent cloud to ground lightning.
